General Information With the aim of educating the people force that is necessary for the country’s cultural, economic and social development and for development of the friendship between the two brotherly nations, Turkey and Kyrgyzstan, IAAU was established in 1996-1997. IAAU moved to new campus for the 2002-2003 semesters with the aim of becoming a world class educational institution.
Student acceptance to university is done according to the results of a special exam that is provided every year. Among thousands of candidates who apply, a small amount of successful applicants is accepted. Last year, among 8500 applications 350 students were accepted.
The university is currently based on a 10.500 square meters campus, will have total of 45.000 square meters indoors, when the remaining construction is finished.
With spacious classrooms, modern computer and language laboratories, a rich library and social facilities, the university is designed to answer all the needs of students. In Alatoo campus students combine years of educational experience with newest technology.
Academic research is given a high priority in the university. Every year many seminars, international and national conferences are being held. Within last three years alone, 13 international conferences have been held in Ataturk-Alatoo University.
All classes are sported with internet and computer facilities.
In homogenous and small sized classrooms, it is encouraged that instructors provide more individual attention to each student.
Success is always encouraged by awarding successful students with scholarships and other forms of rewards. Besides, successful students are sent abroad to such countries as Turkey and Germany for either internship or travel.
In the university, students from different countries and ethnic backgrounds live together in harmony as an example of universal tolerance and human values.
In dormitories students receive language instruction and other forms of academic support. Some important features of the dorms are: being an appropriate environment for studying and a comfortable home environment, and providing a chance to make lifelong friends.
Thanks to the advisory staff that is ready to provide help with any kind of problem that a student may have, students are not left alone to deal with the difficulties of their academic and other problems. The University is in close contact with the parents of its students as well and informs them in regular basis.
As we all know, what is expected from a university education is not just a diploma but rather provision with an opportunity the graduates to land a satisfying job and an employment guarantee, which is an utmost goal of the university.
Ataturk-Alatoo University, which combines science, tolerance and love; is the world of those who believe that education is about ideals, and teaching is most of all is about love. Ataturk-Alatoo University is the place, where a person who believes that the path to economical development of this country and a generation that is beneficial to their compatriots is paved with education.
