“How Central Asian countries can become new industrial states-a new strategy”.
On 6th of September 2012 at Research Center was an open lecture provided by Martin C. Spechler professor at Indiana University.The topic was focused on Central Asian problems including Kyrgyzstan and neighboring countries like Kazakhstan,Uzbekistan and so on. The seminar was opened by the head of World Economy department Mr Kiyalbek Akmoldoev who gave an excellent introduction to the seminar and overview of the scene. About 20 participants came from different departments and brought a valuable mix of experience and ideas.Professor M.C. Spechler since seventies specialized on comparative politics and now making deep research on Central Asian development. In his speech he defines that he was against neoliberal way that Kyrgyzstan chose and he proposes to make a long term agreements with investors in order to bring situation into stabilization. Also he made a review of current situation and mentioned some historical specific events.At the end of meeting Professor M.C.
