Model Organization of Islamic Cooperation

On May 13, the Kyrgyz State Law Academy held interuniversity conference "Model Organization of Islamic Cooperation."

A summary of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC)

The international organization of the Muslim countries - the OIC brings together 57 countries on 4 continents of the world with a population of 1.5 billion people.

A number of States (the Russian Federation, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Thailand, the Central African Republic) and international organizations (the UN, the Arab League, the African Union, the Non-Aligned Movement) have observer status. OIC is gradually expanding. South Africa asked for observer status, Belarus, Brazil and Serbia.

Today the OIC is the largest and most influential official governmental international organization, the second largest after the United Nations.

It was founded September 25, 1969 at the Conference of Heads of Muslim countries in Rabat to ensure Islamic solidarity in social, economic and political spheres, the struggle against colonialism, neo-colonialism and racism and supporting the Palestine Liberation Organization. June 28, 2011 decision held in Astana, the 38th session of the Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) of the OIC Organization of the Islamic Conference renamed the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

The headquarters of the organization is located in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia).

The purposes of creation of the OIC: cooperation between Muslim states, the joint participation in the international arena, to achieve sustainable development of the participating countries.

Konferetsii participants were students of more than 20 universities in Kyrgyzstan. International University "Ataturk - Ala-Too" presented first-year students of the Department of Law:

1. Zhusubaliev Atantay (delegate of  Malaysia)

2. Artem Sidorenko ( delegate of Guinea)

3. Akimkanov Marat (delegate of Bahrain)

4. Omurova Karima (delegate of the United Nations)

5. Maksutova Nazima (delegate of the League of Arab States)

The results of the conference the participants adopted a resolution, and all were given certificates
