The book by Kyrgyz writers is a unique look at history, culture and traditions, which is the key to understanding the Kyrgyz people. They preserve the wisdom and heritage of the people, as well as contribute to the strengthening and promotion of the local literary tradition in the world.

On February 13, 2024, the presentation of the historical book “Kyrgyzdar”, consisting of forty volumes, organized by the scientific library named after Zh. Kanimetov of AIU, took place. It was compiled by Kyrgyz national writer Kenesh Zhusupov and public figure, Doctor of Political Sciences Kanybek Imanaliev. The event was attended by the authors, as well as students and lecturers. The writer Kenesh Zhusupov noted that it took about 33 years to create the 40-volume book. The book presents the history of the Kyrgyz people from ancient times to the present day, traditions, sanzhyra, spiritual culture and other historical information.

“Writing a book is also a culture, as it has a positive effect on the spiritual development of young people. I have given about 3,000 books to various universities in Kyrgyzstan. 1-2 volumes of this book were published in the 1990s. The first 20 volumes are devoted to the history and culture of the Kyrgyz people, and the next 20 volumes tell about Kyrgyz literature, including novels, novellas and other literary works. I urge everyone to read a lot, because books contain the wealth of the people and culture, which can be divided and translated into different languages of the world.” - noted K. Zhusupov.

“It is a great pleasure for me to meet you. For almost three decades, I was a student of my mentor, Kenesh Zhusupov, and 99 percent of this book belongs to him. 14 volumes were originally released, followed by 20 more. In total, the forty volumes of the book contain about 30 thousand pages, 9 million words and more than a thousand authors.” - added the co-author, Kanybek Imanaliev.

This book, which is an important part of our national heritage, is intended to become a key source of knowledge about Kyrgyz history and culture, accessible to all. At the end of the meeting, there was a question-and-answer session. The books were transferred to the AIU library arsenal. We express our deep gratitude to the authors for creating valuable books that enrich our knowledge. We also thank the organizers for such an important and fruitful work on the dissemination of knowledge and culture.
