The Students of the Law Department Visited the Constitutional Chamber of the Supreme Court of the Kyrgyz Republic

On March 29 and April 19, 2017 the first year students of the Law department of the International University Alatoo visited the Constitutional Chamber of the Supreme Court of the Kyrgyz Republic.

On March 29, 2017, students attended the court session where the case on the verification of the constitutionality of the article 6 of the law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts in the Sphere of Combating Terrorism and Extremism" by which amendments about provisions of loss of citizenship where made to the law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On Citizenship of the Kyrgyz Republic".

On April 19, 2017, the students attended the court session where the case on the verification of the constitutionality of the first and second paragraphs  of part 1 of Article 15 and part 1 of Article 17 of the constitutional law "On the status of judges of the Kyrgyz Republic" which provides that applicants for the position of judge of the Kyrgyz Republic must have bachelor degree in Jurisprudence, as well as master degree in Jurisprudence was examined.

The students gained knowledge about the peculiarities of constitutional legal proceedings, learnt about the role and functions of the Constitutional Chamber, as a governmental body that ensure the supremacy of the Constitution and human rights and freedoms.
