International Pen

A literary party was organized by the “International Pen” club of the Turkology Department at our university on March 5. It was called “Guest of Alatoo”. Our guest was IsmailovAltynbekAdylbekovich - turkologyreseracher, member of national writers of the Kyrgyz republic, the coordinator of Young Writers Association of the Turkic World, news reporter, outstanding literary figure, poet, translator and lecturer at Kyrgyzstan-Turkey Manas University.

The party started with the welcoming speeches of the University president Professor Osman Gokalp and the Dean of the Humanities Faculty – Mustafa Ocakbegi. During the meeting, the students asked interesting questions and got satisfactory answers from the poet. Also, Mr.Altynbek recited his poems, gave information about his translation of MevlanaJelaliddin Rumi and YunusEmre.

It is worth to note that such meetings will be organized frequently by our club.
