Study tour to Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic

May 8, 2019

On April 25, 2019, we – 3rd and 4th year students of International Relations Department of Ala-Too International University, visited the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic. Study tour was initiated by our teacher Usonova Taalaigul within the framework of the course “Economic and Political Processes in the World and the Kyrgyz Republic in World Politics”. The visit was organized by the highly respected Bekeshev Dastan Dalabayevich, a deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Undoubtedly, this visit played a crucial role in our lives. We have gained tremendous experience as future politicians and diplomats. Moreover, we have acquired a huge amount of useful knowledge regarding the Parliament and other branches of power of the Kyrgyz Republic, were introduced with their day-to-day work. The tour in the building of the Jogorku Kenesh should also be noted, because of which we learned every corner, every grain of information about the Jogorku Kenesh, starting with historical information about its establishment and ending with the Meeting Hall. In the end, Dastan Dalabayevich openly answered all the questions we were interested in and shared his life experience, thereby giving us a positive charge of motivation in achieving our goals as future politicians. We should note here that our groupmate Aigerim Aidaralieva is an intern at Jogorku Kenesh.  She is acquiring valuable knowledge and practical experience.

Our visit to the Parliament was not as we expected it –it turned out to be much more useful and more interesting than our expectations. Each of us received incomparable experience and answers to all of his / her questions. We are very grateful to our university, Taalaigul Usonova and Bekeshov Dastan Dalabayevich for such a chance to come closer to our dreams.
