On October 26, 2018, the Office of International Relations of the "Ala-Too" International University held a seminar on the topic “The role of International Relations Offices (IRO) in promotion of  research and development in Universities” with the participation of foreign and local experts in this field. The seminar was focused on the staff of the office / department of international relations and the main purpose of the seminar was to discuss new opportunities for universities of Kyrgyzstan in the research field.

 Special guest speakers were Associate Professor Lisa Lawson from the University of  Kansas, USA, Dr. Gulnara Chokusheva -National Coordinator of Erasmus+, Dr. Katja Thevs- Head of Information Centre of DAAD( German Academic Exchange Service) in Bishkek,  Ms. Klara Nemeckova- International Relations Office representative from Masaryk University, Czech Republic and others.

 During the seminar, the most topical issues were considered such as:

- search for foreign grants for research work such as “Jean Monnet” in the framework of Erasmus +, scientific grants of the DAAD, research grants of the US Embassy;

- joint research with foreign partners;

- experiments to attract research grants, projects, etc.
