Student games on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in discussion and cross-debate formats.

  On November 22, 2019, the first round table on SDGs was held at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University. We know very well that the 17 Sustainable Development Goals set out in the 2030 agenda for sustainable development, adopted by world leaders in September 2015 at the historic United Nations summit, officially entered into force on 1 January 2016. In accordance with this, States are responsible for carrying out various activities, conducting programs to achieve these goals.

  The main purpose of this event was to give multilateral information about different approaches to the problem of promotion and achievement of SDGs in the Kyrgyz Republic. The highlight was a new model of the event in a discussion and cross-debate format, namely, it included some elements of a round table, conference, quiz games and finally debates. The event focused on gender equality, biodiversity, quality education, peace, justice, and effective institutions, among others.

  The team of Ala-Too International University was represented by the following students: Usenova Elmira (3rd year), Arkabaev Seytek (2nd year), Erkinbayeva Aydana (3rd year) and Altynay Kadyrkulova (2nd year). Students actively participated in the discussions, showed excellent results and learned a lot for themselves.
