In this session of med talk series the discussion on GP’s Role during the COVID-19 pandemic was conveyed The Speaker of the session Prof. Dr. Zekeriya Aktürk presented the keynote address on how we as a team can help in achieving the hurdles during this pandemic situation - by team it was meant that how the GP’s, Nurses, specialists, the pharmacists, private investors, managers and the government will make a huge change to the society in achieving the goal for vaccinating the public and the health care professionals We discussed about the prevention of complications after taking a jab/vaccine in a small setup or clinic and how as medical professional we can safely practice medicine without hurting any of our patients and how GP’s contribute to COVID 19 pandemic and there importance We were acquainted with WONCA which is a global organisation for Family Physicians and there role, in the discussion we discussed about the raising cases of COVID and the epidemiological data on COVID 19, There was a discussion on the contribution of coronavirus science commission (TURKEY) and how there team of Emergency care physicians, Pulmonologists, Epidemiologist, Infections disease and microbiologist, Paediatric infectious disease team, ICU care team, lawyers, directors of MOH made a plan for controlling the pandemic situation We discussed how the health care works the GP’s should be vaccinated in order for them to work more efficiently without fear of contacting the virus from public There was a discussion on vaccination rate and how other countries are trying to achieve there target for vaccinating there people In conclusion it was stated that how the contribution of different sector will influence the quality and management of COVID 19 Pandemic and the role of GP’s in this The motive of this programme was to share the knowledge and practical experience of Prof Dr. Aktürk, Who has good experience in medical field and research especially in epidemiology and biostatistics The overall organisation and deliverance of the webinar was helpful and satisfactory to the participants and later feedback was collected for the same and asked about any improvements to be made for the future events The objective of the webinar was achieved, there were more than 100 participants, the overall session discussion and the questions were beneficial for the faculties and research scholars, this webinar would help the participants to add more points and conduct the classes in an effective way and also help the scholars in research work 

 

 

Webinar Summary Report

On December 15, 2020, the Centre For Promotion Of medical Research, Faculty of Medicine, Ala-Too International university conducted the 2nd International webinar on “Science of Covid-19” for the students, scholars and teaching faculties. Dr. Naushad Ahmad khan  - Director, CPMR and Haider Ali – co-ordinator, CPMR hosted the programme. Professor Kenan Gumustekin – Dean, Faculty of medicine delivered the welcome note.

The pathophysiology and pharmacology of Covid-19 was discussed in this session.

The speaker of the session Dr. Nedim Durmus presented the keynote address on “Science of Covid-19”. He discussed the basic cause of infection of SARSCOV-2 in Covid-19. He projected a clear understanding of possible target of different drugs in pharmacotherapy of Covid-19. He inspired the audience by lively interacting on topics such as new developments in vaccine, role of vitamin D and other supplements in prophylaxis of Covid-19. He also answered the all questions raised by participants and cleared their concepts.

The programme is arranged in the motive of sharing the knowledge and practical experience of Dr. Nedim Durmus, who has a long years of experience in Medical Science and Research especially in the field of Pharmacology, Clinical Pharmacology and toxicology.

The overall organization and deliverance of the webinar was helpful and satisfied the participants, also the feedback about the session was collected from all participants to improve the session that will be conducted in the mere future.

The objective of the webinar was achieved, there were more than 150 participants. The overall session discussion benefited the faculties and research scholars. This webinar would help the participants to conduct the classes in an effective way and also it would help the scholars in research work.
