Postgraduate study is the highest level of professional education after the master's degree, that allows to deepen professional knowledge and skills on the chosen topic.

 

The graduate course integrates core competencies graduate or professional, allowing to develop short-specialized research areas or PhD, under the guidance of the supervisor on a fixed topic.

 

In accordance with modern requirements, the Institute of Social and Natural Sciences was established in 2006. The institute provides education in master's and postgraduate programs, taking into account national and international standards of education.

 

The Department of Science has been established since 2018. It manages the work of the graduate school.

Program description

The academic degree "candidate of science" is awarded after successful completion and defense of the PhD thesis by a graduate student in the Dissertation Council of the Kyrgyz Republic or abroad.After the defense, the degree of candidate of science is awarded by the Higher Attestation Commission of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The organization of postgraduate studies is mainly aimed at developing scientific thinking, research approach, and the use of new methodological principles in the study of the chosen topic. The scientific research is based on a modern view of the studied and implemented topics from a critical point of view.The topic of the candidate's dissertation should be relevant, meet modern requirements and bring scientific and practical benefits to the country.

The postgraduate schedule includes scientific seminars, research conferences, round tables with the participation of leading experts, as well as master classes on writing scientific articles.

 

Turkic languages - 10.02.06

The main purpose of this work is to prepare highly qualified teachers and researchers in the field of Turkology, especially in the area of Turkic linguistics and literature. The course includes training of specialists, able to transcribe all the written monuments of Turkic languages from ancient times to the present, the training of researchers in the field of historical Turkic dialects.The specialists will be prepared to determine the place and role of Turkish and Kyrgyz languages to identify features of these languages, to assessthe written works. After the completion, the specialist will be able to conduct scientific research, as well as be able to apply the knowledge and skills obtained in practice.

 

Economictheory - 08.00.01

 

Economy and management of national economy - 08.00.05

The program consists of advanced subjects in economic theory, economic analysis, and economic development. The program includes:

  • High professional level of scientific guidance for the preparation of research work;

  • Co-leadership from foreign researchers;

  • Interactive lectures and seminars necessary for modern disciplines in Economics in Russian and English languages;

  • The possibility of research internships at foreign universities and research centers;

  • Publication of scientific articles on the topic of research work;

  • Participation in international scientific conferences;

  • Organization of debates on global problems of the world economy.

The main goal of research on the above-mentioned economic specialties is to identify stable, sustainable relationships in socio-economic phenomena and processes, their structural characteristics, patterns of functioning and trends in the development of economic relations. The research aims to explain the basis of existing facts and processes of socio-economic life, understand and forecast economic and political events by identification and understanding the facts and trends that characterize the formation, evolution and transformation of socio-economic systems and institutions, national and regional economies in historical aspect.Finally it covers the analysis of trends and stages of development of economic thought in relation to the socio-economic conditions of the relevant periods and the characteristics of various countries and peoples.

 

Comparative-historical, typological and comparative linguistics – 10.02.20

Comparative-historical, typological and comparative linguistics prepares students for the degree of candidate of sciences in philosophy, theuniversity teachers and highly qualified specialist in science. This area involves the training of highly qualified specialists in general and applied linguistics, comparative studies of relatedlanguages, comparative typology of language systems, which meets the modern requirements of linguistics.

 

General pedagogy, history of pedagogy and education - 13.00.01

“General pedagogy, history of pedagogy and education" is the study of issues in methodology of pedagogy, theory of pedagogy, history of pedagogy and education, pedagogical anthropology, ethnopedagogy, comparative pedagogy and pedagogical forecasting.

The research areas reflect the main structural components of the scientific specialty which determine the prospects for its development, and are focused on solving urgent problems of the development of the system of education.

 

Social philosophy - 09.00.11

"Social philosophy" is the study of the main problems constituting the subject of social philosophy:

  • the nature of socio-philosophical knowledge, its place and role in the system of social science;

  • the way ofsocial reality existence, its connection between social and natural;

  • the society as an organizational form of reproduction of sociality, analysis of the universal laws of its structure, functioning and self-development;

  • the history of event-based process of development and interaction of real countries, peoples and civilizations;

  • typological characteristics of the historical process, axiological dimensions of human history;

  • historiosophy of the twentieth century, the historical fate of Kyrgyzstan, the problems of modernization and the choice of modern civilizational guidelines for development.

The study of this discipline is based on the experience of development of foreign and domestic social thought, research paradigms of social philosophy. The results"Social philosophy" research are of particular importance in the context of the crisis of the modern Kyrgyz community, which is looking for its own socio-cultural identity, seeking to create an effective system of social organization.

 

History and theory of culture - 24.00.01

"The area includes the study of the problems of the current state of the theory and history of culture at its various historical stages. The main objects of scientific research are the results of cultural activities of peoples, countries and continents since the emergence of various cultures from the Renaissance to the present day, the process of human involvement in the world of culture as a field of science and social practice. The research examines the processes of functioning of spiritual culture in society, trends in socio-cultural development of various social groups and cultural institutions.
